About Me
Hi! I'm Christine. 👋
I earned my Bachelor’s Degree in Music Education in 2003 and was eager to start my teaching career! I enjoyed my time at my first school, but as our family began to expand 🤰🏻, I decided to take a ten-year hiatus from the classroom to be a stay-at-home mom. In 2019, I returned to the classroom and am currently teaching at Shore Acres Elementary School in beautiful Pinellas County, Florida. ☀️🏝️
I hold certifications in Orff Schulwerk and World Music Drumming and lead several musical groups, including the Shore Eagle Chorus and our after school percussion ensemble, Shore Beats. I received the Seminole Elementary Teacher of the Year award in 2022 and was named the Pinellas County Elementary Music Teacher of the Year in 2024. I am proud to serve as President of the Pinellas County Music Educators Association and the Student Engagement Chair for the Florida Elementary Music Educators Association. In the Summer of 2025, I was even able to complete my Masters in Educational Leadership (M.Ed.) from Florida Gulf Coast University. I believe my journey is a true testament to the idea that it’s never too late to learn something new! 😉
Although I love my time in the classroom, my greatest joy comes from spending time with my husband, Ryan, our four wonderful kids, and our lovable Goldendoodle, Phoebe. 🐶 🐾
