About Me
Hi! I'm Christine. 👋
I received my Bachelor’s Degree in Music Education in 2003 and couldn't wait to begin teaching! I loved my first school, but a few years into teaching our family began to grow.🤰🏻 After a ten year hiatus to be a stay-at-home mom, I returned to the classroom in 2019 and currently teach at Shore Acres Elementary School in sunny Pinellas County, Florida. ☀️🏝️
I'm certified in Orff Schulwerk and World Music Drumming and direct a variety of musical groups, including the Shore Eagle Chorus and Shore Beats, an extracurricular percussion ensemble. I directed the Pinellas County Honors Orff Ensemble in 2023, was the Seminole Elementary Teacher of the Year in 2022 and Pinellas County Elementary Music Teacher of the Year in 2024. I'm honored to serve as President of the Pinellas County Music Educators Association, as well as the District 3 Chair for the Florida Elementary Music Educators Association. I will complete my Masters degree in educational leadership this summer! I guess I'm living proof that you're never too old to learn something new! LOL
While I love my time in the classroom, my favorite thing to do is spend time with my husband, Ryan, our four amazing kids and our adorable Goldendoodle, Phoebe. 🐶 🐾
